Outreach Ministry-Take it to the Streets
Take it to the Street ministry was birth in early 2006 through intercessory prayer. Take it to the street ministry is an outreach ministry of Gates of Praise Christian Church. Our objective and purpose is for men, women, teens and children going into the streets witnessing to see what are the needs of our community. We want to "Empower the saints for service" and hold bible study in different communities. Year after year, we have been putting programs into place based on what we think the community needs are and not really hearing the voices of the community. Come and join our team and be a team player in the streets .Our heart is People, People, and People. It is all about changing lives.Our Commission is to take the Word of God to the Street according to:And he said unto them, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen." Mark 16:15-20.
Luke 10:1 " After these things the LORD appointed other seventy also, and sent those two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come."
Mark 6:7-13 "And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse: But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats. And he said unto them, in what place so ever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. And they went out, and preached that men should repent. And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.
